Shazam Theatre Company Update!

June 16, 2015

What an amazing past few months we've had!

Having performed side by side at St Mark’s Church in Aberdeen our Junior and Senior Youth Theatre's did amazingly in their performances of the Doric piece ‘Walker’ and contemporary piece ‘Remote’. We even had to open up extra rows of seats because there was such a large audience!

Our Senior Youth Theatre also travelled to Inverness as part of the National Theatre 'Connections' festival and truly knocked it out of the park with their touching performance of ‘Remote’, a story of isolation and disenchantment in a world where we ignore the world around us in favour of social media and selfishness.

After their wonderful performance of ‘Walker’, our Junior Youth Theatre will also be traveling to Glenrothes as part of the National Festival of Youth Theatre, the largest gathering of youth theatres in the UK!

As for our musical theatre groups they are by no means taking a break...

The member of our Senior Musical Theatre group are fresh back from Prague having performed ‘The Ginger Ale Boy’ as part of the Prague Fringe Festival in the Czech Republic!

However, there is no time to catch our breath as the Junior Musical Theatre group are fast approaching their opening night of Bugsy Malone at the Tivoli Theatre running the 25th to the 27th of June!

Tickets are still available through the company or via

All of these fantastic projects have only been achievable due to the dedication and hard work of the cast, parents/guardians, staff, volunteers, and various sponsors! The cast have, and continue to, take part in various fundraising activities and we appreciate all of the help from everyone who have been so supportive.
