This is Shazam’s third year, so it’s only apt that we are performing “Three” by Harriet Braun.
“Three” tells the story of three teenage couples who fall in love: a boy who has a crush on the girl next door; only she’s going out with the school heartthrob, two teenagers who meet for a blind date but they’re both thinking about someone else, and a shy girl with a secret makes friends with the most popular girl in her class. The play explores their relationships as they develop, and ultimately bring them all together by the close of the story. As the play jumps between couples we rely on the narrator and the characters inner voices to keep us up to speed.
This performance is part of the National Theatre “Connections” festival. You can see our Aberdeen performance at the NESCol basement theatre on March 9th-10th, or if you’re up for a wee roadtrip you can see us perform at Eden Court in Inverness in April, along side 8 other youth theatres from around Scotland.
