Pride at Southanger Park

Senior Youth Theatre

theSpace on North Bridge (Venue 36)

8th-12th August 2017

This farcical play written by Rupert Bean will have you in tears… and that’s just the acting!

Having worked tirelessly rehearsing their interpretation of Jane Austen’s long lost 19th-century romantic drama, the group's masterpiece falls apart as the show descends into chaos in an utterly hilarious chain reaction of disasters. From the third instalment of the popular Art of Coarse Acting by Michael Green, this side-splitting farce is like no other!

This show marked our Senior Youth Theatre’s return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for their second year. The show received lots of superb feedback from audience all over the world who flock to Edinburgh to see a range of performances. A farce full of slapstick comedy, this genre of show can prove particularly challenging since timing is everything, however the group handled it like a bunch of pros! After all their hard work in Edinburgh, the group returned to Aberdeen to stage a home performance for friends and family who weren’t able to see it in Aberdeen.
