When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage.

The Wizard of Oz can certainly be considered one of Shazam’s most challenging projects to date. In order to create the mystical land of Oz, our Junior Musical Theatre groups worked hard producing their movements and dances and developing the range of quirky characters Dorothy and her friends meet along the Yellow Brick Road, whist our production team were hard at work behind the scenes setting up pyrotechnics, colourful scenery, magic mirrors and transforming the cast into their characters using costumes, make-up, hair and prosthetics.
